The University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked universities and colleges to provide master’s degrees in Health Economics and Technology Assessment (M.Sc. (HETA)). It is important to note that the Government of India has created Health Technology Assessment in India (HTAIn) to assist in the process of fair and concrete-proof decision-making in the field of healthcare. HTA is a widely recognized tool for assessing the cost-effectiveness, clinical-effectiveness, safety, and equality of health technologies such as medications, devices, and health programmes.
